Denver, Colorado
Malone's are trying to settle in at the Extended Stay Deluxe Hotel! Our room consists of an uncomfortable queen sized be for Bryce and I, a sofa bed for Rees and Trent, and a roll away bed for Jake. This is all in one room with a kitchen and a bathroom. We made tuna casserole the other night and I had to cook the noodles in 2 shifts because we only have 2 pans and neither one is very big. We realize how spoiled we really are in the big picture of things. We did get laundry done, boy is that getting expensive. Yesterday the kids and I went on a tour of the Hammond Candy Factory. It was very interesting and we got free samples of candy, always a plus in my book. The kids and I went to Red Rock Park and Amphitheater today, it is absolutely awesome. We hiked all the way down the seats in the amphitheater and then all the way back up. About 1/2 way up Trent started feeling sick so we had to stop a rest awhile, I think the altitude got to his little body. Rees and I would have loved to have gone to the concert tonight, it was ABBA. We hiked the 1.4 mile trail in the 85 - 90 degree heat. We were hot and sweaty by the time we finished, but nothing a big cold bottle of water couldn't cure. We came back and went swimming at our hotel and have been watching movies the rest of the night. I think the heat and sun wore us out! Tomorrow we plan on hanging out at the pool, scrap booking our journey so far, and just relaxing. We are going to meet some of my college girlfriends and their families tomorrow night for dinner.

Loveland Colorado
Well you are never going to believe this one! We had another tire blow out, not even 24 hours later. This time is ripped up the side of our trailer. We are beside ourselves. And for those of you who know Bryce he had a few choice words, but his tire changing time is amazing! Anyway, we are stranded here for 2-3 weeks. We will be staying at an Extended Stay Hotel in Denver. I can't wait to explore Colorado with the family. Bryce will still be driving into Utah for work, but the rest of us will stay here. We are trying to make lemonade out of our lemons that we have just been handed.

Missoula/Kalispell
Well I am finally getting a chance to catch up on our blog. We headed to Missoula where we stayed at the Jellystone campground. We had huckleberry ice cream, played some basketball and played miniature golf at the campground (Bryce won). They also had a nice playground for the kids to play. I took the kids to a water park for some fun. Then we decided to go up with Bryce to Kalispell so we could do Glacier National Park while he was working. What a fantastic park. I will post some pictures soon. We stayed in a hotel for that night and left the trailer at the Jellystone campground. We left Sunday and are headed for Denver. We planned to stay in a Walmart parking lot in Sheridan Wyoming, but decided to try to head as far as we could and continued on into Casper. On the way we have had our first travel emergency of a flat tire on the trailer. According to Bryce I jinxed us because earlier in the day I had mentioned that we would probably get a flat tire at some point in our trip. Needless to say I am no longer allowed to talk about those kinds of things. Hours later we are on the side of the road changing our tire, Thanks to my handy husband, he changed it in 30 minutes and we were on our way. This made for a later night and we decided to just stay in a hotel for the night. Other than that all is well and we look forward to spending the next week in Denver. Until next time happy travels!

Emigrant Montana
We are getting ready to head on to Missoula today. We have had a great time hanging out with some new friends, Dave and Krista Morrell. They have a ranch up in Bozeman where we spent the day playing and riding horses. They also took us floating down the Madison River. We have also had a great time with Papa and Grammy (Kim's dad and wife). We went to hot springs for some soaking, did laundry, fished, shopped, and just enjoyed each others company.

Emigrant Montana
Well we made it to Emigrant Montana and are in the campsite right next to my dad and his wife. We enjoyed an evening of catching up, the kids went fishing for awhile, and then we had dinner together. Watched a great sunset and are headed to bed at an earlier time tonight. We are glad to finally be in one spot for more than just a day. We will be here until Wed. then off to Missoula Montana.
We are finally off and Running
So we are in Montana, but let me go back to Thursday. Our big day, we had said goodbye to all our friends, stayed up late packing and had these great intentions of leaving by noon! Well that didn't happen. We still had way too much to do and were getting stressed out by the minute. No one likes to pull into a campsite in the middle of the night. So we canceled the campground reservation and made a hotel reservation. We finally started our journey at 3:41 P.M. on Thursday afternoon, only 3 1/2 hours later than we wanted. We changed our plans and stayed in Fargo instead of Jamestown. Tonight we made it to Miles City around 4 o'clock. We swam, rode some pedal karts, had dinner, and did some grocery shopping.

Leaving on Thursday
HOLY COW! I am a little stressed out trying to get everything we want to take into our new home. It's a crazy feeling knowing you are getting ready to leave for an entire year. We are having an open house on Wed. (7/14) from 5-8 for all those who would like to come by and say goodbye. We will be enjoying pizza, beverages, and some good friendship time. We appreciate everyone who has been so helpful and supportive. It's great to see all our followers, thanks so much!
